It is the home of many native species of birds and mammals along with stunningly beautiful, unspoilt bush.

 

Abel Tasman boasts some of New Zealand’s finest beaches, accessible only by trampers or by boat. The golden sands run into crystal clear water that abounds with marine life.

 

The Abel Tasman Coastal Track is one of New Zealand's great walks.  Well maintained tracks follow a spectacular coastline, and travel down onto secluded beaches.
